Figs on Toast

Difficulty level




  • 1 small pot of dairy-free yoghurt of your choice
  • A handful of pomegranate seeds
  • Sourdough bread (4 slices)
  • 4-6 ripe figs, sliced
  • Runny agave/date syrup  to serve


To make the labneh, line a sieve with muslin or a clean J-cloth and pour in the yoghurt. Put the sieve over a bowl, cover with clingfilm and leave in the fridge overnight.

Step 1

When you are ready to serve, remove the labneh from the sieve. Put it into a clean bowl and mix in the pomegranate seeds.

Step 2

Spread the labneh generously over toasted sourdough. Top with the figs and a drizzle of agave.
